Gernessa Nurse’s Functions

There are several training centres in South Africa that are responsible for training nursing personnel as well as care workers. Centres that train nursing personnel must be accredited by the South African Nursing Council (SANC), however centres that train care workers are independently operated.

For this reason all people who apply for a home nursing / care post at Gernessa Homecare Services must write a pre interview test and only applicants with a test result of 80% or more are taken in consideration for an interview. Prior to appointing and placing personnel at patients their work history and references are verified. Care workers in service of Gernessa Homecare Services are duly registered at the Department of Social services as prescribed by act 13 of 2006.
